Venue and Travel

The 12th European Combustion Meeting will take place in McEwan Hall and Appleton Tower, which are centrally loacted within Edinburgh. McEwan Hall will be used primarily for plenary lectures and some posters, while the majority of posters will be presetned in Appleton Tower. The distance from McEwan Hall and Appleton Tower is approximately 300 m.

Edinburgh Airport

Edinburgh Airport is situated to the west of Edinburgh, around 20 km from the City Centre and McEwan Hall. The best way to travel to the city from the airport is by the AIRLINK Bus or Tram. Both options take approximately 30 minutes to travel from the airport into the city centre. From the city centre, McEwan Hall can be easily reached within a 10 minute walk as you walk past the historic sites of Edinburgh. Tickets for the AIRLINK Bus cost £8 (both ways - termed "return") or £5.50 (single way). Tickets for the Tram cost £9.50 (return) or £7.50 (single).

Edinburgh Waverley train station is ~0.9 km from McEwan Hall. The last stop of the AIRLINK Bus is located at Edinburgh Waverly train station.
