The 12th European Combustion Meeting (ECM) will follow a similar format as previous ECMs, where the conference revolves around five plenary lectures and five poster sessions. Each poster will require participants to submit a poster abstract and ECM manuscript.
A new feature of ECM 2025 is the introduction of an ECM - Proceedings of the Combustion Institute (PROCI) Track. Participants can choose to submit their paper to the Special Issue of the Proceedings of the Combustion Institute. This opportunity does not change the historical acceptance process for ECM paper/poster presentations. It is an additional opportunity for authors who would like their paper to be considered for the PROCI Special Issue.
The manuscript format for the ECM-PROCI Track and ECM Track will be the same and will adhere to the guidelines of the International Combustion Symposium. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the PROCI format (formats provided at the bottom of this page). The ECM-PROCI Track manuscripts will undergo an initial evaluation by the ECM Scientific Committee, which will involve desk rejection. Following this initial evaluation, the standard PROCI review process will commence, which includes the same review procedure as the International Combustion Symposium. The ECM Track manuscripts will follow the normal ECM process, where the papers will not be published, but be made available to participants to facilitate poster discussions.
It is important to note that authors must submit an Abstract and ECM manuscript. Any ECM-PROCI Track manuscript that does not have a corresponding ECM abstract + manuscript submission will not be considered for the ECM-PROCI Track.
Abstract deadline: 30th December 2024. Please see the Abstraction Submission page for more information.
ECM-PROCI Track manuscript deadline: 3rd March 2025.
